Pennsylvania Route 6

Ran into a friend from work in passing and mentioned a possible trip down Pennsylvania Route 6. He says he was told of it from a member of his club who has rode it before and enjoyed the ride. My friend and I both have never heard of this before. since its pretty close it could be a weekend ride. Since I have not heard of this road before, has anyone else done this ride or even a ride suggestion to look into for someone else.

What i do know of Route 6 is the Pennsylvania area is 400 miles in country and mountain area in northern Pennsylvania. Also it was a model used for creation of Blue Ridge Parkway.
If I wasn't crazy, I'd go insane.

I did a little checking into this and it sounds really nice
It's about 500 miles from here to the end (about 100 to get the the start) so if anyone really wants to do this its gonna be at least a weekend
To do the 500 in 1 day figure 10 hrs of ride time plus stops for gas etc. Doable but not easy
I charted it out and downloaded it into my gps so all we need is a date


How's the weekend of June 12/13th sound ?

I'm working that weekend, but don't let that stop the plans. I would probably only want to do something shorter for one day.

It doesn't have to be June 12/13
Whatever works for everyone is cool with me
I just wanted to get a date out there so we could plan for it

I'm away the 1st 2 weeks of July and the 1st 2 weeks of August
Other than that I'm open to suggections but we should pick a date asap
